For us to benefit from high and stable levels of emotional well-being, it is important to recognise when we are having feelings or thoughts related to sadness or anxiety. Some people may be very aware of their emotions, others may need some time to recognise these feelings. They may manifest as tense muscles, stomach aches or other pain in the body, for example in the back.
