Picture Your Choices and Their Outcomes

When you’re stuck on a decision, do this mental exercise:

  • Close your eyes and picture what happens after you choose each option. Think of it like watching a movie of your future. Choose one option and imagine everything that follows. What do your friends, family, or coworkers say? Notice what changes and what stays the same.
  • Pay attention to your gut feeling during this exercise. How does each option make you feel?
  • Think through the choices logically. Ask yourself how your choice will affect you, others, and maybe your workplace in different ways. Some outcomes will matter more to you than others, and recognising these can help you make your decision.

This way, you’re not just guessing; you’re thinking ahead and choosing wisely.
