Lunch Break to Recharge

After spending a few hours on mentally demanding tasks, it’s important to give your body the nourishment it needs. Taking a break provides an opportunity to re-energise with healthy foods and water. It also serves as a longer break from work tasks, allowing you to approach the afternoon session with “fresh eyes.”

  • If you’re working a full day, use your lunch break to recharge; refer to your employer guidelines for its duration.
  • Avoid alcohol during this time, and consider incorporating some movement, such as a short walk or bike ride of up to half an hour, to kickstart the second half of your workday feeling refreshed and energised.
