Help Your Brain Separate Similar Projects

When managing similar projects, it can take a while for us to remember characteristics or details relating to that specific project. Distinguish between similar project labels with these tips:

  1. Feature a prominent overview in a ‘READ ME’ file at the document or folder’s start, summarising the title and key details.
  1. Use visual cues like colors, logos, or site photos to mentally distinguish projects. Numbers, acronyms, or letters can also work.
  1. You can also consider indirect links, such as historic buildings or group photos, for added uniqueness. Make sure that there is an indirect link (e.g. first project meeting was in a certain city or executed by this group of people).
