Stabilise Your Blood Sugar

Carbohydrates or Sweets With Fats or Proteins

Carbohydrates and sugars, eaten in isolation, can lead to blood glucose peaks.

If you combine them with foods high in protein or fat, the peak and subsequent dip will be less steep; blood glucose levels will stay more balanced afterwards.

Examples could be some eating almonds before bread, some greek yoghurt before a piece of cake, or eating rice or pasta with some salmon, avocado, tofu, or chicken breast.
